Melissa Rathbone writes….. My BCT journey began with a great desire to return to my self. Everyone has an image in their minds about who they are.There were times that I would look at myself in my bathroom mirror and think that I didn’t recognize the face that stared back at me. I didn’t want to have my picture taken and was too tired to play with my 5 kids. It was time for change. I had been working towards that goal for 3 months prior to BCT. My total weight loss was about 13 lbs. I was happy, but not satisfid. I knew that if I didn’t get help that I would go back to my old habits and would feel like I had failed. Lydia had invited me to join her in Bixby in July. I had been working out and thought,”Ok. I can do this.” I showed up to the first workout and I was really feeling challenged! In the month at BCT, I have met wonderful women and coach who have cheered and encouraged me to succeed.The workouts challenged me to push beyond what I thought I was capable of. Throughout this month, BCT would remind me to make good food choices and fuel my body properly. I came to BCT with a goal of 5 lbs. weight loss but I lost 10! By the end of the month, I was able to beat myself in the assessment test! I am that face I that I know again. Thank you so much BCT!!!!!
