Thirty-eight year old Registered Nurse Melinda Williams has gone through two career changes and graduated from nursing school during her 5 plus years at Bootcamp Tulsa. She says BcT has helped her deal with the stress that these major life changes brought. BcT has provided an affirming and uplifting environment rather than the negative, self-destructive outlet she might have chosen.
The coaches and other ladies are without a doubt are her favorite aspect of BcT. She states, “I have worked with every coach and attended most locations and everyone is welcoming and pushes you to ‘get what you came for’.” She keeps coming back because of the fact that each workout is different and no one can motivate her like the coaches and other ladies. She says she is always sore in the “right places.”
She has seen amazing results going from a size 12 to a size 6 and having a flat stomach after three C-sections! She is more physically fit than she has been since high school. BcT has made physical fitness something that is important in her life, and her kids see her modeling fitness and health as a priority. It also gives her time for herself, which most women struggle to do during this stage of life.
She has changed physically but feels BcT has changed her mindset more. She says, “Bootcamp Tulsa has made me mentally and emotionally stronger.” When she starts out her day challenging herself, it carries over into her work and personal life. As a wife and mom of four, she is constantly on the run, and BcT gives her an outlet to workout, laugh, and pray with others who are also trying to succeed in all aspects of life.
To someone thinking about starting Bootcamp, Melinda says, “If you try it, you will love it.” She also says you will find that you will push yourself harder and further than you thought you could possibly go. You will connect with a lady who is going through the same struggles you are, and you will reach your goals. The coaches and other ladies will believe in you when you don’t, and they will work with you individually to find a plan where you will succeed. Closing advice: “Don’t wait – just do it!”
