Michelle Everett is 43 years old and is a Network Engineer for Verizon. She has been a part of Bootcamp Tulsa for 11 months (started mid-November, 2016).
For Michelle, Bootcamp Tulsa is not just a workout….it is family. She feels blessed to be a part of it. She shares, “My favorite aspects of BcT are the lovely ladies of Midtown as well as our amazing coach. There are times I am not 100% mentally or physically, but once we start my attitude begins to change and by the end I leave with a better attitude. Coach Isaac is always upbeat and encouraging, even at 5am, which helps motivate and drive me to do my best.”
The encouragement and the accountability are two of the main reasons that Michelle continues to come back to BcT. Her employer has a gym with personal trainers and group classes that she would attend, but she never saw results and did not feel part of the group. She adds, “I still have a way to go to accomplish my weight and fitness goals and with the help of BcT, I WILL achieve and surpass them all.”
Michelle calls Coach Isaac “The Repair Man” for helping her get rid of the hail damage on her thighs! She has also noticed the muscle definition in her arms and legs. She explains, “When I first started, there were many exercises I was physically unable to do without modification that I am now able to do. I like to use the phrase, ‘Call the coroner, cause I just killed that workout’.”
Michelle shares the changes BcT brought to her life: “Before I started, I hated myself for gaining so much weight and had low self-esteem. I wanted to get weight loss surgery and my husband was against it due to complications he sees while working as a medic. He told me that they receive a lot of calls from people that underwent such surgery and are later having complications. Once I decided to give it my all, I began to see results: spiritually, mentally and physically! I now have a positive outlook on life and have gained confidence. My family, friends and coworkers have noticed a difference in my attitude and tell me they can tell I’m losing weight/inches.”
If you are considering joining BcT, Michelle says if she can do it and stick with it, ANYONE can! She adds, “This is the place to get a great workout with awesome women. Just try it once. I know you will love it!”
