For Bootcamp Tulsa member Paula Lewis, working out each week is about more than just physical exercise. Having been athletic all her life, Paula was looking for something more than what a typical exercise program offered.
“I joined Bootcamp nearly 6 years ago, when I was at a point where I was afraid my metabolism was about to start slowing down,” said Paula a 40-year-old Business Analyst. “Almost immediately, I knew that this was the place for me. Bootcamp Tulsa was the whole package!”
What exactly did Paula find at BcT? She found a program unlike any other and coaches who worked hard to create an atmosphere where the women feel empowered, strong and motivated.
“I get bored and tired of things easily,” said Paula. “But these workouts are always different and you know you’re working hard and you feel amazing afterward.”
The results Paula has seen over the years are all she needs to keep her coming back for more. She has gained muscle mass, decreased her blood pressure significantly and has seen major changes in her stress levels. And during the times she does have to miss working out with BcT- for travel, etc.- she can tell that her stress levels and anxiety start to rise.
But it isn’t just the physical aspect of Bootcamp that Paula has come to love. It’s the support and community of the women in her group.
“Bootcamp has become a fun competition for us, but it’s the support that means the most,” said Paula. “We all want to see each other succeed and hit our goals. If you miss a session, you’re sure to get a call or text from another Bootcamper, asking where you are! I love that accountability.”
