Kyle Zickefoose is 47 years old and is a Battalion Chief with the Sapulpa Fire Department. He has been in the Fit First Responders program for a little over twenty weeks.
Kyle would like to say that his favorite part of FFR is the workout, but he really loves the Coaches! He says, “ They are so motivating and knowledgeable!”
The reason Kyle keeps coming back to FFR is because he feels there is no other gym in the country that offers the positive atmosphere and caters to first responders like the coaches at FFR. He says, “It’s more than a physical workout it’s also a mind shaping experience.”
Kyle has seen so many results. He explains, “My fitness has never been what it is today and at 47 that’s saying something. However, I’d say the most improvements had been my frame of mind.”
FFR has changed Kyle’s life by changing the way he thinks about a great many things. He is now going into the workouts with an attack mode like he has never done. The more important change to Kyle is the way he thinks and feels about his job, family and friends.
When Kyle started FFR he was told that he needed a “why” to have focus. He did not have a “why”. He had been on pain pills for arthritis in my neck for the last 2 1/2 years. He adds, “Because of FFR I realized my “why” and am now pain pill free for the last month. I have a new zest for life, family and work. It’s really deeper than what I can get into in this article.”
As for someone considering joining FFR, Kyle offers this advice: “If a person will completely buy into the program, the coaches but most of all into themselves, they will see a change in their physical appearance but also their mental appearance of themselves and have the confidence to succeed in all aspects of their life.”
