Leslie Lawrence is a 41 year old sales specialist for a medical supply company and has been a part of Bootcamp Tulsa for 2 ½ years. Her boys participate at DSD in the off season.

Leslie’s loves the coaches and how they make each and every workout so different. She says, “I LOVE working along side other women who inspire me to keep going when my body says stop.”

When Leslie first started she says she really had no expectations. She said it was a free month to simply check things out. She had a gym membership but lacked the desire to go and do a workout, let alone a productive workout. She would run three miles or so when she could, but she says it was never at an intensity to make any changes for increased endurance or weight loss. At the time she started BcT, she was going back to school to complete her masters and found that her clothes were not fitting as well. She says, “I had always made a personal goal of never buying a particular size and unfortunately I had arrived there!” She quickly realized she was out of shape and says, “Bootcamp was exactly what I needed.” She says she needed to make it more of a priority and that the accountability and encouragement of the Jenks group propelled her to refocus on her goals and make the BcT workouts more of a consistent part of her life.

Leslie has lost more inches than pounds and is able to fit in her clothes better. She can honestly say she did not have to buy that size that she never wanted!

Bootcamp Tulsa has helped her make fitness more of a priority in her life. Before she would make excuses, anywhere from I do not want to wake up THAT early to thinking she did not have that additional time. She found that if it is an important enough goal, then it will become a priority in life. She adds, “I think BcT has helped me to be a better wife, mother, and working professional. It has helped me also focus on what I am fueling my body with and making sure I get the proper nutrients.”

Since starting BcT, Leslie says she definitely has more energy throughout the day and does not get tired as much. She is also able to keep up with her kids and all their additional activities that keep her busy!

Leslie encourages anyone to try out BcT and not give up. She says, “It is challenging, but it is worth the rewards of improved fitness and great friendships. It has been a great experience and I love the BcT family!”
