Detective Lori Visser loses 26 1/2 inches in 25 weeks!
Detective Lori Visser is 55 years old and has been with the Tulsa Police Department for 25 years. She was recently one of the Top 15 Finalists in the Fit First Responders 25-week challenge.
Here is a video of Lori’s story:
Lori’s favorite aspect of FFR is that the FFR Coaches are so personable and very understanding of any issues (knees, back, etc.). The coaches also assist Lori with improving upon the areas in which she needs to improve, and she is grateful to have such experienced and knowledgeable coaches. She says, “They not only help you to properly lift weights and exercise, but their knowledge of nutrition, supplements and how to take care of your body is phenomenal. I LOVE that Teamwork is a part of the workout. Saying a Prayer at the end of the workout is one of the greatest things and really brings the groups closer together. I look forward to the Fellowship each day. FFR has become family to me and a support that I need to help me in my goals in life.”
Lori’s results with FFR are phenomenal. She has lost 33 pounds and 8.2% body fat (32 of the 33 pounds was fat loss!) Lori gained some muscle but also lost almost 3 inches in the neck, 6 ½ inches in the chest, almost 6 inches in the waist, 6 inches in the hips, 3 ½ inches in the thighs and 2 inches in the Upper Arms. This is a total of 26 ½ inches lost!! Not only are there physical results, but Lori’s blood pressure is the lowest it has been in many years. Her knees have improved and no longer swell when she works out. Her energy level has increased tremendously, and her marriage is the best it has been in years. In fact, her husband also lost 30 pounds with her and is eating healthier. She feels stronger, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. She says, “Thanks to FFR, I am a much better person, a better Christian, a better Wife, a better Mother, a better Grandmother, a better Daughter and Sister, and a better Police Officer.”
FFR has made a huge difference in Lori’s life. Losing 33 pounds has motivated her to continue and maintain this lifestyle. After learning that she lost 33 pounds, and getting below the 200-pound mark for the first time in 15 years, Lori became so emotional. She says, “Seven months ago, I never dreamed I would be where I am today and moving forward and feeling better than I have in years. I am completely ecstatic about the changes that FFR has given me.”
FFR has made a huge difference in Lori’s work life. She feels that she works with a much clearer mind. Her use of Sick Leave has gone down. The City of Tulsa wins every day that a Police Officer, Firefighter, or EMSA Medic works out at FFR. During the program, Lori put in for the IMT (Incident Management Team), and after a successful oral interview, she made the team. Lori says she has become much more confident in herself than she was before. She says, “It feels great to see people I haven’t seen in a while and hear them say, ‘Lori, what are you doing, you look great?’ I found that I am continuously telling my co-workers about FFR and trying to get them in to the program. It works for me and I want it to work for others. I cannot say enough positive about FFR.”
Lori’s final words, “FFR is the BEST thing that has happened to me in years. I plan to continue doing what I have been doing by going to FFR, continuing my workouts and maintaining my healthier eating habits. I know that I have a way to go in weight loss, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. This has become my lifestyle and I know that it can be done because I have seen the results. I want to pay it forward by helping others who are overweight like me.”
