Ginger Ward lost 20 pounds, 25 inches in 6 months!

Ginger Ward is 43 years old and has been a 911 Dispatcher for Tulsa Police and Tulsa Fire for 20 years. She has been a part of Fit First Responders for six months.

Ginger’s favorite aspects of FFR are the coaches and the energy, love, and positivity they bring to every workout!!!

The results in her health, weight loss and strength are what keep Ginger coming back to FFR.

So far Ginger has lost 20 pounds and 25 inches (overall). She is sleeping MUCH better and is more alert and focused at her job. She has stopped taking prescription meds for acid reflux. She shares, “ I am more positive and all around happier person. I am so much stronger. I went from not being able to do one push-up when I started to being able to do several now! I have so much more energy! I used to want to take a nap everyday after work….not any more, that is my time to workout and fellowship at FFR!”

FFR has had a positive impact on her marriage. She is much more patient with her family. Then she adds, “Here’s the part where I cry….I can’t tell you how it felt when Coach JC accepted dispatchers into this program. We have mostly, throughout my 20-year career, been treated like we were nobody’s and most certainly never really treated like first responders. I believe we are the FIRST first responder because we take those calls. We are the person those citizens call on their worst day of their lives, and if we don’t do a good job, we hinder the police, firefighters & EMS from doing their jobs. I’ve ALWAYS believed our job is important and it’s nice to finally, after 20 years, have someone include us in with those first responders!”

Ginger’s advice if you are considering FFR: “Just do it! Don’t be like me and think you have to wait until you lose more weight to get started. I lost 20 pounds before I started, but the truth is, I did not need to do that! I’ve seen all sizes, ages, and fitness levels in this program and truly ANYONE can do this!!!!”
