Jessica Mathias: “Bct has changed my life twice!”

May 6, 2015 | #Blog, #Fitness, #Homepage

Jessica Mathias is a 35 year-old wife, mom to Levi (9) and Aubrey (5) and a full time saleswoman for constructions tools. She has been with Bootcamp Tulsa twice. She had her first run March 2008 – January 2010 and then left after having her daughter and returned in May 2014.

Jessica’s favorite part about BcT is that it is not just a workout but a Family. She says, “At Bootcamp Tulsa, it doesn’t matter your age, your size or what location or time you go to because you get a great workout and you are held accountable by your sisters given all the tools you need to reach your goals.”

The return to BcT after a long break was because Jessica was tired of being in denial that she was going to get the same success that she had with BcT before having a baby. She was trying to do this at a local gym because they were trying to save a few dollars, and she thought she would go everyday on her own time. Of course that never happened. She went 1 – 2 times a week at the most and was not seeing any results. She says, “ I had somehow boarded the bus of excuses that wasn’t taking me towards my goals but further away from them.” She didn’t get a coach’s support at the gym. She didn’t have her sisters pushing her and cheering her on. She was fueling her body with convenience foods not planning and preparing the meals for the week.

Jessica says, “It wasn’t just me on a downward unhealthy road, so was my husband.” Since coming back in May 2014 she has lost 32lbs, 10% body fat & a ton of inches. What started off as 3 days a week has now transformed into 5 days a week between Bootcamp & Strongwomen at DSD.

Jessica set new goals and in Feb 2015 and started adding weightlifting into the mix. She adds, “BCT has changed my life not once but twice. I lost 30lbs the first time as well but this 2nd run has been life changing because my husband & I are on this journey together.” Through JC’s programs, the nutrition piece with the 10 habits and making their health a priority, they are WINNING in life again.

Her advice to someone considering Bootcamp Tulsa: “If you are ready to change your life, be held accountable, not have to try & reach your goals alone, ready to take your life back, tired of riding the negative bus of excuses, ready to win in life, meet some great people, burn some calories, gain some confidence, grow spiritually, become the best version of yourself, then come join us because you are not a tree, you can change your situation… WHY because YOU ARE WORTH IT!
