Kathy Crabtree will turn 55 in June and is a social worker at the Tulsa Health Department. She started Bootcamp Tulsa the last Friday of September 2015.
Kathy had a slight detour in her training as she had to have surgery on her right rotator cuff in February of 2016, but she came back in June 2016 and has not looked back. She says, “One of my next goals is to earn my gold kettle bell for two years BcT strong this fall!”
Bootcamp Tulsa keeps Kathy grounded. She states, “Like others I started for a free month to try something new. I have always loved to exercise, but mostly Aerobics or Zumba and never at 5:00 AM!”
Since starting BcT, Kathy has noticed her stamina has improved. She sleeps better and has more positive energy at her job. She also shares, “I have increased my intake of protein and vegetables and fit much better in my clothes- have even attempted to wear skinny jeans!”
Kathy works out 5 – 6 days a week. She says, “I am amazed that I am now willing to get up at 4:30 AM, but I always feel energized, challenged and ready to start my day. The coaches push us beyond the limits of what we feel we can do and never disappoint.”
Kathy adds, “The awesome women that attend in Jenks are the bonus, and I feel I am missing something unless I have started my day with them working out, encouraging each other, and praying together at the end.”
Kathy concludes, “To anyone considering joining BcT — the benefits far outweigh the sacrifice of getting up early. If I can get up at 4:30 am anyone can!”
