Lacey Hanner is 31 years old and is a Junior Processor at Supreme Lending. She has been a part of Bootcamp Tulsa since September 3, 2016 when she came during the “Change a Life Challenge.” Her dear friend, Candice Alcott, told her she had to come to at least three classes for her….and she stayed!
As for Lacey’s favorite aspect of BcT, she shares, “I honestly LOVE so many things about BcT: The accountability, the friendships, the encouragement, the energy, the coaches who are so awesome and helpful. I love how we have a flow to the work outs, so you know what to expect– but at the same time it’s always something different so you never have to worry about getting bored in a workout or zoning out. I love that they truly make you feel like you are a part of their family and loved.. You have this whole new support system to help in all the stages of your life. I think Coach Isaac said it best for me when he said, ‘Go where you are celebrated, not tolerated.”’ That really hit home for me.”
Lacey is addicted to BcT at this point. She loves seeing the number on the scale go down, and she LOVES that “after” feeling. She explains, “I just feel so good about ME after I finish a class. It’s emotional for me, as well. This is my hour for me; I get to give it my all and know I did my best. I love the girls I work out with and look forward to seeing them each time. I feel like if I miss a class, I am not only letting myself down but them as well, which keeps me accountable.”
Lacey’s clothes fit so much better now that she has lost 17.9 pounds and is starting to see more muscle tone and definition. She has more energy and is a lot happier in life now that she has BcT. She adds, “I can’t believe I have come so far in such a short amount of time. I never thought I could get back into my smaller sizes.”
Bootcamp has completely changed Lacey’s life. She explains, “I don’t even think I can put into words how grateful I am to have this program. A few years ago I was invited to come, and I barely made it through one class and never wanted to go back. I had decided that Bootcamp was not for me. I don’t know what was different this time around, but when I came back for that 4th class I wasn’t obligated to attend and then on a whim decided to take part in the “Change a Life Challenge” event– I was sold. I am so much happier now and I have so much drive and motivation to do well, to get stronger and to be better. I have made some great new friends that have the same vision and drive as I do, that makes a huge difference. I was depressed and eating all the time and gaining weight before BcT. We would go to work then come home and watch TV or go out to dinner. Robb and I were in a “rut,” honestly. I don’t think either one of us were happy with our bodies. We had lost our confidence and self-esteem. Now that I have become a part of this program, I have more energy. I am in a better mood. Robb and I cook together and go to the gym together. He has “caught the bug” and has made some great life changes, as well. I feel like I finally have something that is mine and I can look forward to it every week and know that I will be challenged and come out stronger and better than I was before. BcT has been such a huge blessing to us in every aspect of our lives.”
Lacey always had trouble sleeping, but now when she does get to sleep, it is a lot better quality that she had before. She for sure has way more energy and is just a lot happier over all. She says, “I have had many wins beyond just the physical!”
