Norma Cox — her positive addiction makes her happy each day!

Apr 1, 2015 | #Blog, #Fitness, #Homepage

Norma Cox is a 50 year old Nursing Home Administrator. She has been with Bootcamp Tulsa for two years.

Norma’s favorite aspect of BcT is everything about it…she loves that it is a family based environment. Her BcT acquaintances have become her best friends, and she says they acknowledge what your goals are and support and encourage you 100%. Norma says, “I love the after workout prayers and sincerity of really caring for one another. I love how if one of the BcT family is in any type of need we all pitch in for what the need may be. I love the coaches that truly care about you in succeeding and accomplishing your goal and how they answer your questions positively and with motivation. I love how we have different themes each month and participate in activities with joy and laughter without judgment!”

Feeling her body transforming into being fit is what keeps Norma coming back. She says you can visually see results and you start to receive compliments from others. She has received acknowledgment that this program is truly the answer she has been looking for. She says, “You keep wanting more of a positive addiction that makes you happy each day!”

Norma says that when she first started BcT two years ago she was very slow with her exercise. The ladies that finished first would come back and redo the workout with her and encourage her not to give up. Two years later now she is one of those ladies that encourage others. She sees more endurance, her body becoming more toned, and has more knowledge on hydration and nutrition.

“BcT has changed my life for the better.” says Norma. In 2009 she began struggles with her health, weight gain and a high stress job. She knew with the experience of being in healthcare industry for 30 years that it was time to gain control of her weight gain. She knew the detrimental complications it could lead to and like others tried joining a gym, exercising on her own, Zumba, etc. She had no results. One instructor helped her go on a calorie count with exercise and she had to weigh in every Sunday. Norma gained a pound and the instructor gave her a disappointing look which made her feel worse than she already did. She says, “I prayed to God to help me…..Next day BcT just popped up on my Facebook page.” Two years later here she is being featured on Coach JC’s blog!

Norma would encourage others to come out and give it a try. She says it is a decision you will not regret. This is all about you….it is your time to care about yourself! Each day is a new beginning to a healthier you!
