Stacy Belk is 49 years old and serves as an Assistant Chief for the Tulsa Fire Department. He joined Fit First Responders 25 weeks ago.
Stacy’s favorite aspect of FFR is the spirit of enthusiasm and the effort the coaches put into their jobs of getting their clients in shape. He explains, “The coaches have a genuine interest in my wellbeing and make going to workouts enjoyable. The coaches also in my opinion are real, real in that they practice what they preach and have a passion for training and teaching.”
What keeps Stacy coming back to FFR is the atmosphere that they have created at FFR. This atmosphere includes meeting new people, quality of the workouts and the quality coaches with a genuine caring attitude. He explains, “The coaches push you to be your best and at the same time they understand that people are at different levels of fitness and capabilities.”
The results Stacy has seen since coming to FFR are that he is down 10 – 12 pounds and knows he has lost some inches (but not sure how many). He also feels better and has more energy to do things. He is wearing clothes that he has not been able to wear for years. His blood pressure has gone down, and his eating habits have changed for the good.
FFR has provided Stacy with new friends and basically a third family. He adds, “The workouts are great and have helped me physically but the biggest change is emotionally. The positive attitudes of the coaches and those that attend FFR have made an impact that my family has noticed at home.”
Stacy’s advice for someone considering FFR: “If you are remotely thinking of trying to become healthier and want to join then this is the place. This is by far the best workout atmosphere that I have ever been associated with. Once you try it you will be hooked.”
